My name is Alessandro and I am a guest of St. Mauritius Hotel. I definitely love the Versilia Sea, the calm that you can breathe in the fragrant pine forests, as well as the many events taking place in Forte dei Marmi. Among fairs, markets, theme nights in the coolest clubs…you just cannot be bored!

I have been choosing the St. Mauritius Hotel for years because it offers me all these leisure opportunities. However, there is more: I have a real passion from which I cannot part with, not even on holiday and, staying here, I am not obliged to do it. Golf: my pleasure par excellence, the healthy competition, a way to forget worries and to focus only on the shot. Every single shot needs a free mind to reach the maximum level of precision…and to go in the cup! Hole after hole until the last one, to come back satisfied at the hotel.

Why give up so much fun on holiday? In Forte dei Marmi I didn't have to do it: two exclusive golf clubs are at a short distance from St. Mauritius Hotel, in the heart of Versilia. I visited both of them, of course!

The Forte dei Marmi Golf Club has an 18-hole course, 71 par, unfolding among narrow forests, sand bunkers and water obstacles, at 4 kilometres from Hotel St. Mauritius. On its greens, you can combine relax of nature and excitement of the sport, thanks to the different difficulty levels. In summer times, I experienced all the emotions you can feel in your life. Play golf with the beautiful view of Apuan Alps in the background is priceless!

In less hard days, I chose, for the golf play, the “Alisei Golf & Country Club Pietrasanta”:  it is equally close to St. Mauritius Hotel, about one kilometre from Versilia coast and Apuan Alps. In my opinion, precisely because of its dimension (a 6-hole course, one 4 par and the others 3 par), it is a perfect location for families: I usually spend amusing days there with my children, who are following in the steps of the father. Here in fact, golf lessons for all ages are held; I strongly suggest them, also to absolute beginners for this amazing sport!

At St. Mauritius Hotel of Forte dei Marmi I have the luxury of combining all my passions in the perfect way: sea, relax and golf!
